Despite the immense responsibility of managing Manchester United, Ruben Amorim has maintained that he is at ease with his work, and club executives have apparently been charmed by his upbeat demeanour.

Days after joining Manchester United, Ruben Amorim is said to have immediately impressed the team by exhibiting “charisma” and “an air of self assurance.”

After a poor season in which the Red Devils have fallen to 13th place in the Premier League standings with the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, the 39-year-old must get to work at Old Trafford in order to turn around the team’s fortunes.

Despite the immense strain of managing Manchester United and the team’s dismal situation, Amorim has maintained that he is at ease with his work.

The Daily Mail claims that since joining the team this week, Amorim has already established himself by displaying his personable side by stopping by a group of Old Trafford tour attendees, striking up a conversation with them, and posing for pictures.

Early indications for Amorim are “positive,” according to the source, with club executives thrilled by the manager’s “air of self assurance” after they paid roughly £10 million to bring him in from Sporting Lisbon.

Ten Hag was fired by Amorim after the Dutchman led United to their worst-ever Premier League season start. The team’s lack of organisation and leadership caused supporters to quickly turn against the former Ajax manager.

Ten Hag apparently lacked Amorim’s “charisma” following his 2021 interview for the Tottenham position; instead, the club chose Nuno Espirito Santo for the position.

After being hired in the middle of the season, United’s new coach will have given supporters cause for optimism this week following his first interview outlining his goals for the team.

“I’m really, really proud to be a Manchester United coach, so it’s amazing,” he stated. Being here is truly an honour. I’m at ease. Perhaps since it’s not game day. I’m a different person when we play, but I don’t feel the pressure.

“When you are here, you can sense it and I believe you feel the history, even if you know it’s large and amazing from what you see on TV. I’m feeling quite calm and excited. I believe I am in the right place. That is the sensation.

Before playing at home against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League and Everton in the Premier League, Amorim’s first match as manager will be a trip to Ipswich Town on November 24. On December 4, he will then play Arsenal in his first significant test.
