Gary Neville has warned that Cole Palmer will face “really aggressive” tactics at Anfield, and Liverpool boss Arne Slot will encourage his players to pay particular attention to Palmer when the Reds visit Chelsea after the international break. Neville will also warn that Palmer would be competing against “really aggressive” tactics.

The England star scored 22 goals in the previous season, a total that was only surpassed by Erling Haaland. The Chelsea player has already racked up an astounding 11 goal involvements (six goals, five assists) from nine games so far this season. When the Premier League returns the following weekend, Palmer’s superb form will undoubtedly put Slot’s league leaders to the test. Palmer is now widely considered to be one of the top players in the Premier League, if not the best player overall.

Neville, on the other hand, has cautioned Palmer to anticipate some very brutal strategies from Liverpool’s players as they attempt to lessen the influence of the 22-year-old star. The commentator adds that he cannot wait to watch how the player responds to these strategies.

During an interview with NBC Sports, Neville asserted that Slot will give instructions to his team to attempt to intimidate him out of the game.

Neville started off by saying, “I continue to believe that Anfield is the most difficult place to get space.”

Taking into consideration the manner in which Cole Palmer plays, as well as the fact that he constantly gives the impression of having time on the ball, it will be fascinating to observe how he performs at Anfield and how Liverpool will handle him.

“[They will] test him and be extremely aggressive toward him,” was the statement. In the beginning of the game, they won’t want to allow him to experience any amount of delight or encouragement. Because of the presence of the crowd and the mood, Anfield is a site where you could experience some degree of bullying.

According to Neville, “I always remember when I went to Anfield [as a player], I think it’s the toughest place to go.” Neville continued this statement. As for Chelsea, I believe that it is a very difficult task for them to accomplish under the direction of [Enzo] Maresca. In addition, it will be fascinating to observe how well they perform in that.”

Regarding Cole Palmer, what statements has Maresca made?
Palmer, a top player for Chelsea, will be a formidable opponent for Slot’s team as they attempt to maintain their remarkable start to the season, which has seen them win nine of ten matches across all competitions. Haaland, a Norwegian goal-bot, is the only player who has scored more goals than Palmer this season.

On the other hand, Chelsea manager Maresca is aware of the exceptional skill that he possesses in Palmer, and he has provided an explanation as to why he believes that Palmer is deserving of being acknowledged as the greatest player in the league at the present position.

The same person he was when he was a young boy is the same person he was three or four years ago. Goals, assists, and being named the greatest player in the Premier League are not going to erase the fact that he is who he is. That he is a modest individual is, in my opinion, the most significant thing about him.

In today’s football world, young players may undergo rapid transformations, and he is a top player. In addition to scoring goals, Cole is consistent in his performance, which is the most crucial aspect.

“He is a wonderful athlete, and he is a man who is so straightforward and humble. It is not necessary for him to tell others how excellent he is since you are able to determine it for yourself.

During Palmer’s formative years, Maresca was Palmer’s coach in the development team of Manchester City. He has said that the player’s talent allows him to function in a variety of positions, which is a consequence of the player’s versatility.

With that being said, he said, “We try to use Cole in that position (as a 10) because it is his best position.” Although he is so excellent that he can play as a false nine, as a nine, as a winger, and in the pocket, Cole is most effective when he is within the boundary of the field.

“I have three children, and my son is eleven years old. I would like my son to be the person who, regardless of the many things that occur, would not alter in any way. Due to the fact that young players and boys are more susceptible to change, Palmer’s most valuable asset is the fact that he takes pleasure in playing football, which is wonderful for him.

Real Madrid has been connected to Palmer, while Chelsea is reportedly serious about signing the BVB star.
In the meanwhile, Palmer has been so successful since arriving to Stamford Bridge that the Blues have been cautioned that they may have to fight in the future to keep his services.

And former Liverpool manager Graeme Souness believes that the Chelsea star will be the subject of a massive bid from Real Madrid, who might be willing to spend a British transfer record sum to get him if he continues to be in such excellent form over the entirety of this season.

Other than that, Chelsea has been connected with a January transfer for Karim Adeyemi, a frontman for Borussia Dortmund who is currently in good form. This is part of the club’s search for a new striker.

A hat-trick was recently scored by the Germany attacker against Celtic in the Champions League. It has been stated that Maresca has a “serious interest” in acquiring his services during the January transfer window, which would allow him to beat Liverpool to the position.

Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka are two undesired talents who the Blues might want to get rid of in order to fund any new players that come in throughout the month of January. It was reported on Tuesday that the latter was said to be moving to Saudi Arabia; nevertheless, it appears that Maresca does not care where they end up as long as the two are removed from their salary tab.
