Chris Sutton blasts Lennon and Boyd after Hearts’ defeat vindicates Celtic hero

Chris Sutton has chastised Neil Lennon and Kris Boyd after the Sky Sports three got into a heated dispute about Celtic’s recruitment ahead of their defeat to Hearts.

Sutton was correct regarding Celtic’s recruiting, as the former Hoops striker blamed the club’s current poor results on a shambolic summer transfer window.

Kris Boyd attempted to place all of the blame on Brendan Rodgers’ tactics, whilst Neil Lennon suggested that Celtic’s summer recruiting wasn’t all awful.

And, after seeing Hearts defeat Celtic at Tynecastle, Sutton made two major statements about the Tynecastle club, followed by a fantastic jab at Lennon and Boyd, who ganged up on the big Englishman live on Sky Sports.

Chris Sutton’s two major Hearts claims after defeating Celtic at Tynecastle

After Hearts’ well-deserved victory, Sutton rushed to social media to congratulate the Tynecastle club and make two bold statements about Derek McInnes’ players.

Sutton stated on X: “Hearts deserved it. Celtic has more streetwise, organized, and talented forwards. This Celtic team is a mess.

“How many Celtic players would join the Hearts team right now? Hearts have the best chance to win the league. Celtic isn’t even a Honda Civic today…

Celtic, as usual, had all of the possession but none of the penetration or firepower to capitalize, and it’s all down to one factor: terrible summer recruitment.

Sutton criticises Sky Sports’ Lennon and Boyd for their Celtic transfer attitude.

As we reported yesterday, Sutton, Lennon, and Boyd all had an on-air argument on why Celtic has been so awful this season.

And, when Hearts moved eight points clear of Celtic, Sutton accurately reiterated his belief that the Parkhead club’s transfer transactions are the primary reason his former club is struggling this season.

Sutton tweeted, “Extraordinary from the Chuckle brothers this… the recruitment is the primary reason why Celtic have been sluggish at the start of the season and why there is all the unrest right now.”

Rodgers must work with the players he currently has since the transfer window will not open for another few months.

Rodgers must find a way to get a song out of this team, as the Celtic manager refused to discuss transfers yesterday. Falkirk, Rangers, and FC Midtjylland are up next.
