Details revealed of ‘secret meeting’ between Thomas Tuchel and Sir Jim Ratcliffe

The guy who will lead Manchester United in the upcoming season is still up in the air.
It is said that last week, Thomas Tuchel met with Sir Jim Ratcliffe to discuss his ambition to take over as manager of Manchester United and to present his plans should he succeed Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Christian Falk, head of football at BILD Sport, reports that Ratcliffe, a stakeholder in United, and former manager Tuchel of Chelsea and Bayern Munich met in Monaco last Tuesday.

Falk reports that Tuchel took use of the chance to lay forth his ideas for taking over as coach in the event that Erik ten Hag was fired.

According to reports, Tuchel gave the co-owner of United an explanation on how to resolve the team’s athletic issues, including those involving Mason Mount and Sancho.

According to the well-known football journalist, Tuchel used Antonio Rüdiger as an illustration of his ability to return highly skilled players to optimal shape.

After hardly more than a season in charge, the 50-year-old German left Bayern Munich, and his tenure there was by no means as fruitful as his tenure at Chelsea, where he won the Champions League before being fired midway through the next campaign.

The 50-year-old is eager to return to the Premier League and is apparently focused on a specific position, but that hasn’t stopped him.

Erik ten Hag, who has won two titles in his brief two seasons at the club, has been the subject of impatience among United supporters as they wait for the club’s new owners to announce his future.

Ratcliffe stated to the Belgian publication De Tijd earlier this year: “We have to look at the club’s organisation because it is not good at the moment.”

“Take the head coach, for example. He has to report directly to the CEO,” he continued. That’s not feasible in a contemporary football league anymore. Ensuring that the appropriate individuals occupy the appropriate roles is crucial. Every manager needs to be at the top of their game. Next, it’s critical to establish a welcoming, encouraging, positive, and superior workplace.

Before, that culture was absent. A setting like this is the only way to bring out the best in athletes. If it is successful, the outcomes will happen on their own. That is the strategy, and I support it.

No announcement has been made as of yet regarding whether the former Ajax manager would stay in the Old Trafford dugout for the upcoming season, despite reports that a decision would be made the week after ten Hag’s victory against Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Even though the current Premier League season begins on August 17th, United appears to be aiming to bolster their team a few weeks after the 2023–2024 campaign concluded, regardless of the manager taking over.

Jarrad Branthwaite, a center-back for Everton, is supposedly the club’s first summer acquisition, and a deal is expected to be finalised by the end of the month.
