Donald Trump considering banning biggest nation yet at 2026 World Cup and it would cause chaos

Before the World Cup, the American president might impose a severe ban.

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Donald Trump is allegedly considering restricting visas for one large country.

The 2026 World Cup, a major competition that will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will begin in less than a year.

The US will host most of the matches at 11 venues, including the MetLife Stadium, which will hold the final on July 19. This historic competition will be the first World Cup to be played in three countries.

The 2026 World Cup will include competition from 48 nations, and millions of football fans will travel to see their teams play in the largest event of the year.

However, in the lead-up to the World Cup, US President Trump is reportedly considering revoking their visas, raising doubts about the attendance of supporters of one big nation.

Fans who want to cheer on the South American team may not be able to go to the USA to watch games, even though Brazil is now tied with France and England as the favourites to win the World Cup next year.

According to a CNN story, President Trump is thinking of preventing Brazilians from obtaining visas, even during the World Cup.

Trump reportedly hopes that by doing this, he can influence Brazilian public opinion against the current government, something he has done recently by raising tariffs.

Journalist Lourival Sant’Anna alleges that some of the additional visa restrictions for Brazilian citizens have already started being applied ahead of senators’ journey to Washington this week.

According to him, the politicians had to contend with visas that were far more restrictive and had a cap on how long they could remain in the country.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and FIFA have not yet responded to the report, although it is said that the governing body is aware of the potential and is awaiting more information before acting.

In order to address any concerns about possible repercussions against supporters in the US, they are reportedly thinking about meeting with the federal government.

Which other nations are prohibited from participating in the World Cup?
Trump issued an order in June that prohibited entry to the United States from a number of nations, preventing citizens of those countries from entering the country for the foreseeable future.

Iran, which in March became the second side to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, is one of the nations affected by this.

However, as things stand, the national team will have access to the United States next summer, but fans and possibly the media won’t.
