Erik ten Hag and his wife have relocated back to England from the Netherlands, three weeks after being fired from his position as manager of Manchester United, in order to move out of their home.

Three weeks after being fired from his position as manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag has made his way back to his private residence in Manchester in order to retrieve his belongings.

Following United’s 2-1 loss to West Ham in east London on 28 October, Ten Hag was eliminated from his position as manager of the club. His rapid return to the Netherlands allowed him to spend some time in his hometown of Haaksbergen, and he has been seen in the stands at two Eredivisie matches over the course of the previous few weekends.

Ten Hag has now returned to Manchester in order to clean up his previous residence, but first he waited for the dust to settle before making his return. Ten Hag seemed to be wearing the same Adidas gilet that he wore during his final game as United manager. The 54-year-old and his wife Bianca were seen for the first time on Monday night at Piccolino, which is their preferred Italian restaurant located in Hale, Greater Manchester.

It just so happened that his return to the city coincided with Ruben Amorim’s first training session at the Carrington training complex, which is owned and operated by the club. United made a hasty trip to Portugal in order to acquire Amorim on the same day that they terminated Ten Hag’s employment. Amorim, who is now 39 years old, has joined United from Sporting Lisbon in preparation for his debut match as manager, which will take place on Sunday against Ipswich.

Amorim has already begun the process of destroying the work that Ten Hag has done for the club over the course of his two and a half years there. After moving from Ten Hag’s 4-2-3-1 configuration, he has been training United in his preferred 3-4-3 formation, which is expected to be on display at Portman Road. He has been trained in this formation.

Following their dismissal, Ten Hag and his coaching staff were awarded a substantial pay-out. This was due to the fact that they had signed a new contract with United over the summer. On the other hand, the Dutchman seems eager to return to management, and he has been keeping himself occupied by watching live football in his own country.

First, he went to watch Heracles play NAC Breda in the Eredivisie, which was the match that was closest to his hometown of Haaksbergen. After that, he travelled to FC Twente a week later to watch them play Ajax, which is another of his old teams.

Ten Hag was “devastated” by the dismissal at Old Trafford, and he sent a poignant statement to the supporters, which was released shortly after Amorim was announced as his replacement. In the message, Ten Hag summed up his thoughts. “I want to express my gratitude to you for providing me with this sensation and for your assistance.

He stated, “I would also like to express my gratitude to the staff in each and every department of the club for their unflinching support, both during the good times and the bad.” We were awarded two awards, which are accomplishments that I will be very proud of for the rest of my life. Without a doubt, my goal was to add additional awards to the collection that I already had. The realisation of that desire has unfortunately come to an end.

Fans of Manchester United deserve nothing but success, trophies, and glory, and I wish them all the best. The kindness that I felt from everyone at the club, together with your assistance, helped me feel more at ease and at home. I am grateful to you for this new phase in my life. This is Erik.
