Erling Haaland named for unpaid fine, punishable with ridiculous prison sentence

Erling Haaland is now having trouble in front of goal and might need to check his wallet as well.

Celtic, take note: you don’t want to face the fine and the possibility of a completely pointless jail sentence that Erling Haaland is currently facing when you travel to Switzerland to play Young Boys in January.

The striker for Manchester City may have enough money to cover the fine that has been put next to his name on the shores of Lake Geneva.

According to rumors, Barcelona is interested in Haaland and believes he would be a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Haaland is reportedly in negotiations for a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.

The name of Erling Haaland is on the Swiss penalties list.

According to reports from the Swiss publication Blick, which Sport Witness relays, the canton of Vaud’s “official notice sheet” of unpaid fines includes Haaland’s name.

Although the reason for the alleged violation has not been disclosed, we doubt Haaland will be tormented by the 60 franc penalty. At the time of writing, that is £53.64.

Technically, there is a one-day jail sentence for nonpayment; however, the option to pay the fine and stay out of jail would be offered first.

We would be considering it as a possibility for our next trip if that included an overnight stay. In Switzerland, lodging for £54 per night? Deal
