‘Everyone at the club’ – Sadness as former Brighton and Tottenham player dies😭 .
Sadness as a former Brighton and Tottenham player passes away is felt by “everyone at the club.”
Joe Kinnear, a former defender for Brighton & Hove Albion, passed away yesterday at the age of 77.
After 12 fruitful years at Tottenham, where he won the FA Cup, League Cup, and Uefa Cup, Kinnear signed with Brighton in 1975.
In 2015, Kinnear was diagnosed with dementia. “We are sad to announce that Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family,” his family said in a statement.
According to the Albion website, Kennear was brought in to provide experience to Peter Taylor’s team. However, he only made 18 appearances and scored one goal for the team before his career was cut short due to a knee injury he suffered at Gillingham in April 1976. We at the football team extend our deepest sympathies to Joe’s friends and family during this extremely difficult time.
Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, stated yesterday: “I just heard.” It is really depressing. We send our love to his friends and family. Everyone at this football club will miss him. Although it is a sad loss, this football team will never forget him.
In addition, Kinnear had a prosperous time managing Wimbledon. He had dugout stints at Luton Town, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United.
“Everyone connected with Wimbledon was deeply saddened to hear the news that our former manager, Joe Kinnear, has passed away,” AFC Wimbledon wrote on X. Joe, a real club legend, left us with some incredible memories that we will always cherish. We are sending his family our sincerest sympathies during this trying time.
“Thank you for giving me my professional debut and playing a part in who I am today and who I was as a player,” said Jason Euell, Kinnear’s former Wimbledon player. Lost but never forgotten.
