According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Alexander Isak’s departure from Newcastle United has been blocked by the club’s owners.

The Sweden international has been thwarting a move to Liverpool with a rearguard attack from the Saudi-backed Magpies.

However, the leadership has since informed the striker that he won’t be leaving this summer after high-level discussions with manager Eddie Howe.

Liverpool is ready to break the British record once more.

After choosing not to sign a new contract at St. James’ Park, Isak, who has been called “the best striker in the world,” recently asked to leave the team to consider his options for a possible move this summer.

But the club’s owners don’t need the money, and they also don’t have to meet any sustainability and profit requirements.

In order to prepare for a new season, Howe must now swiftly reintegrate the forward into the team.

As Arne Slot looks to rearrange his hitting options, the news will be a major setback for Liverpool. The Reds, who had already paid £116 million to buy Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, were reportedly willing to smash the British transfer record a second time this summer.

Hugo Etitike has also joined the Reds, but they still want to bolster their roster, especially now that Luis Diaz has joined Bayern Munich for £68 million.

Darwin Nunez is still available if they are unable to move the Uruguayan, but it is obvious that their Dutch manager still views him as excess. Before Napoli decided to sign Lorenzo Lucca, Nunez was connected to the team. He has also been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia.

Although Liverpool had hoped that Isak would step in, it seems that Newcastle’s resolve to keep Isak on board has won out.
