Following Arsenal’s revelation of Emile Smith Rowe’s leaving, Jurrien Timber’s response on Instagram may cost him his career at Arsenal.

After Arsenal stated that Emile Smith Rowe would be moving to Fulham on a permanent basis, Jurrien Timber took to Instagram to express his reaction to the news.

During his time with the Gunners, Smith Rowe participated in 115 matches across all competitions. However, he has decided to pursue a new challenge with the team coached by Marco Silva.

After logging fewer than 700 minutes of playing time over the course of the previous two seasons under the direction of Mikel Arteta, the 24-year-old player now has the opportunity to resume his career.

There have been a lot of responses from players and supporters as a result of his transfer to Fulham, and Timber was quick to applaud him on his Instagram stories yesterday.

“What a guy man,” he wrote on his post.

Smith Rowe was a player on the periphery of the team for the past two years. During the 2022–2023 season, Gabriel Martinelli was able to establish himself as a left winger thanks in large part to the fact that injuries played a significant role.

A new level of competitiveness was introduced with the arrival of Leandro Trossard. As a result of the presence of captain Martin Odegaard, Smith Rowe was unable to make it into the starting lineup from the position of number ten.

In the previous season, he was given a few opportunities to play in the central midfield position, but he did not completely convince. With regular playing time at Fulham, the playmaker has the opportunity to make amends for his past mistakes.

There is a good chance that his departure will coincide with Arsenal’s acquisition of a fourth midfielder. The club is committed to securing Mikel Merino’s services and has reached an agreement with Real Sociedad about the parameters of their agreement.

When compared to Smith Rowe, Merino has a different profile. At the age of 28, he has a great deal of experience. Despite the fact that the Spaniard is capable of making contributions to goals, he is more well-known for his outstanding defensive qualities.
