During the most recent international break, a sizable number of Manchester City players have been called up to play for their respective nations. Many players from City’s first team squad during the break last month were involved in the previous round of Nations League fixtures.

In the next round, England lost 2-1 at Wembley Stadium, and three City players were featured in that match. During the last international break, Phil Foden was one of the players who did not play for England. Before the loss to Greece, Lee Carsley said that Foden is more effective in central positions than out wide.

The 24-year-old received particular criticism for the way his night transpired, even though he had started off playing a major part with notable figures like Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, and Declan Rice.

Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham have Paul Robinson fuming.

On BBC Radio 5 Live (via BBC Sport), Paul Robinson discussed his thoughts regarding the circumstances surrounding Foden’s substitution in the 72nd minute. Jude Bellingham was also listed as being involved. “I have been saying all evening that Foden and Bellingham are obstructing each other’s progress,” he said.

Cars tried to complete both of them in ten seconds or less.

This system has failed to serve England well.

Bellingham is inferior to Foden, according to Wayne Rooney. After Foden, Palmer, and Bellingham made their debut on Thursday night, Wayne Rooney shared his thoughts on who the best England player is. “For me, Foden,” he said. Although I am aware that Phil Foden has not played as much for City this season, I still think that he is the best player in England when he is performing at his best.
