Fernandes was connected to European teams like Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Inter Milan as well as Saudi Pro League teams.

He signed a contract in April 2022 for a weekly salary of almost £220,000, and it was scheduled to expire in 2026 with an option to extend it by one year.

According to Romano, the playmaker is about to a new contract that would make him one of the club’s highest paid players right away.

“Manchester United has reached an agreement with Bruno Fernandes to extend his contract!” the Italian writer posted on X, formerly Twitter.

“Salary at top Manchester United level; new deal valid until June 2027 plus option included for further season, June 2028.”

“Everything is ready to be signed before the summer window ends.”
