NOW WE DO: After much negotiation, Manchester United is finally on the verge of signing £60 million superstar Sir Jim Ratcliffe. An announcement is expected soon.

Leny Yoro, a defender for Lille, is reportedly keen to sign with Real Madrid, but Manchester United is pressuring him to do so, according to AS in Spain.

While Raphael Varane’s contract is set to end this month, the Red Devils are looking to add a new center-back to their lineup.

One of the top players on their radar is Yoro, and according to AS today, United has already made a move and is “very serious” about signing him.

United has previously made an offer that is “very close” to Lille’s £51 million asking price.

Madrid is a huge fan of the Frenchman as well, but they are hesitant to shell out more than £34 million for Yoro, whose deal expires in June 2025.

Although Lille would want to sell to the highest bidder, they could have to persuade Yoro, who seems determined to join the European champions.

If the “very ambitious” player decides not to sign with Madrid this year, he may be ready to move to the club on a free transfer the following summer, according to reports.

Yoro needs to be convinced by United to start regularly.
One of Ligue 1’s top young centre backs is Yoro. With Lille, he had a fantastic first campaign, completing 92% of his passes.

Along with winning 63 percent of his duels, the teenager averaged three clearances and 3.9 recoveries per game. He only dropped possession five times in each appearance.

Although United is prepared to meet Lille’s financial demands, convincing the Frenchman to go to Old Trafford this summer will be a difficult assignment.

We think the Red Devils can still win him over by guaranteeing him a starting position on a regular basis.

Varane may be directed towards the exit, where Yoro might be assigned to sit next to Lisandro Martinez. In the short term, he might not have the same assurance at Madrid.
