In the days leading up to his first game as manager of Manchester United, which will take place on Sunday against Ipswich Town, Ruben Amorim is already solidifying his position at the club.

As soon as Amorim started his new job as manager of Manchester United on Monday, it was announced that he had obtained passage for five new coaches to join him at Carrington.

Additionally, he made the controversial decision to fire Ruud van Nistelrooy after he had a great stint as interim coach. This decision was met with a lot of criticism.

On the other hand, Amorim’s attention has been focused on more than just the backroom workers throughout the course of the previous several days. In addition to this, it seems as though he has a clear idea of the kinds of players that he feels will be essential to the continued success of United in the future.

Fabrizio Romano disclosed this morning which players Amorim appears to be planning to rely on for success.

According to Romano, “Kobbie Mainoo is an essential player for the owners of Manchester United, for the directors of Manchester United, and for the staff of Manchester United.” “These are the kinds of players that Ruben Amorim adores. Therefore, Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro are the kinds of players that he is looking to bring to Manchester United in order to ensure the club’s continued success in the future.

In addition, Romano stated that although United has not yet provided Mainoo with a new contract, it is anticipated that the club would do so in the not too distant future.

With that being said, the new contract that Kobbie Mainoo has signed is likely to be a matter of significant discussion in the coming weeks and months. The United Football Club is still working on it. We are not yet at the last stages, but the conversation is still going on; the conversation is still positive on both the player and club side, and as a result, the contract of Kobbie Mainoo, along with Amad Diallo and other players, is going to be one of the subjects that Manchester United will discuss after the international break.

The accomplishments that Mainoo has made at Old Trafford have earned him a nomination for the Globe Soccer Emerging Player 2024 award. Mainoo has demonstrated that he is indeed one of the most promising young talents that United has to offer in recent times.

Prior to suffering an injury, Mainoo was a consistent member of United’s starting eleven. In addition, he has made a significant contribution on the international scene, having represented England in the 2024 European Championship.

As a result of an injury sustained during the preseason tour of the United States, Yoro has been forced to have foot surgery, which has prevented him from participating in any of the games this season.

Despite this, Amorim has taken note of Yoro’s potential, and it has been stated that the Portuguese manager considers Yoro to be a “generational talent.”
