In his inaugural interview as Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim articulated his philosophy and the team’s primary objectives.

Upon his arrival in Manchester earlier this week, the former Sporting CP manager addressed MUTV.

Amorim is responsible for preparing his team for their first game against Ipswich on Sunday, November 24, as the majority of his squad is currently on international break.

The fanbase is filled with great enthusiasm as a youthful, dynamic coach, aged 39, is given the chance to collaborate with a talented group of emerging stars at Old Trafford.

Amorim was questioned about five youth players in his new squad during his initial interview with in-house club media: Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo, Rasmus Hojlund, and Leny Yoro.

Amorim cautioned that these players cannot use their age as an alibi for subpar performances and contended that they would not be at United if they lacked the necessary character or talent to perform on the most significant stage.

“I am hesitant to assert that we require time, as we are a young team,” Amorim stated to MUTV. “They are adequately equipped.” They are primed to meet the requirements of competing for Manchester United. They ought to be, as they are present.

“We are aware that it will require time, and we will endeavour to gain time through the games.” Yet, we must commence from the very beginning, without hesitation, without considering that they are not accustomed to this type of activity. I am not contemplating this matter. Regardless of the circumstances, they will commence with our concept on the first day. That is the objective.
