“You can’t escape the retaliation I’ve already planned for you by stealing all of my transfers. It’s only a matter of time: The Man City boss lashed out at Erik ten Hag once more for sabotaging his transfer while acknowledging that the FA Cup loss hurts.

Antonio Silva, a Portuguese international and Benfica player, is rumoured to be interested in Manchester United. There has been further development in this subject as of late.

We reported on a report from O Jogo yesterday, which stated that the Red Devils think they can work out a reasonable contract to sign the player, who has a 100 million euro option.

The headline in today’s Correio da Manha reads, “Man. United won’t let go of António Silva.”

Yesterday, the 20-year-old centre back made his preseason debut against Brentford, coming on as a replacement.

According to the media source, Old Trafford is still tracking the Seleccao player despite bringing Leny Yoro away from Lille in the summer.

According to CM Jornal, Antonio Silva is still “one of the priorities” and Man Utd’s Dutch manager, Erik ten Hag, wants to add another player to strengthen the backline in the current transfer window.

The news source goes on to say:

“Benfica agrees to negotiate (his sale) for a substantially lower amount, despite having a 100 million euro release clause.”

The young player, who first gained recognition from the Benfica Youth squads, has already played 94 senior games for the Eagles.

Although Silva has already made 13 appearances for Portugal, Roberto Martinez only gave him one start during the European Championships.

Regretfully, he let Georgia score the first goal in the match, and they went on to defeat the Seleccao 2-0.

Do you think Man Utd should buy Silva from Benfica to bolster the central defence even more?
