“I don’t think Manchester United will make the Top-four because…Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney both dropped telling predictions for Man Utd’s top-four hopes after Everton win

“It’s unlikely that Manchester United will finish in the top four because…Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand both made insightful predictions about the team’s chances following Everton’s victory.
Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have both made clear what they think will happen to Manchester United come to the top four of the Premier League.

With ten league games left, Manchester United is currently eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth place in the Premier League standings.

Even though fifth-place Spurs still have a game in hand, Tottenham is only two points behind Aston Villa and six points ahead of United.

Ange Postecoglou’s team defeated Villa 4-0 on the road in the Premier League on Sunday, boosting their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Meanwhile, United defeated Everton 2-0 on Saturday at Old Trafford in their Premier League match to get back on track.

In contrast, United defeated Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday to get back on track in their Premier League matchup.
Ferdinand’s prediction for Manchester United Prior to Fulham’s 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in February, United had won four straight Premier League games.

The Red Devils’ hopes of finishing in the top four were further dashed after they were outmatched by Manchester City in a 3-1 loss at the Etihad earlier this month.

Rio Ferdinand urged his former team to concentrate on themselves rather than other teams around them in a TNT Sports interview following the Everton game.

The 45-year-old United legend stated that United cannot finish in the top four; instead, the Red Devils must rely on other Premier League teams making mistakes.
“I imagine Man United will be sitting there, cheering for a draw as they watch Villa vs. Tottenham.” According to the Metro, Ferdinand stated that they do not want any of those teams to distance themselves.

However, I believe Man United should put themselves first right now. Write off the victories for now, and hope that eventually the teams above them will start to lose points.

“Unfortunately, Man United has put itself in this situation, and in order to have a chance of making it to the Champions League, they will have to rely on other people.”

Rooney about his Man Utd forecast
Wayne Rooney, who had a fantastic career at United, doesn’t think Erik ten Hag’s team will place in the top four this year.
The 38-year-old United legend stated that the defense’s vulnerability has been a recurring problem for the Red Devils this season and that he is far from convinced.

Rooney went on to say that United’s only chance of qualifying for the Champions League the following season would be to win “almost” every league game left.

He said, “No, and I think that’s what we’ve seen throughout the season,” in response to the question of whether United could contend for the top four with their current backline.

Since Manchester United needs to win practically every game, I don’t think they’ll finish in the top four.
