“I would love to play at Old Trafford,” the star midfielder said. United “make” a key choice about the £30 million deal as the next move becomes clear.
Manchester United wants to add a new defensive player, and Sander Berge is still catching their eye.

Several news sources say that Manchester United is going forward with their search for a new No. 6 this summer by talking to Burnley about the possibility of signing Sander Berge.

After United decided not to pursue Manuel Ugarte, it was made public earlier this week that they were interested in signing the Norwegian international.

It is known that Paris Saint-Germain has given the Uruguayan international low marks, which is why the Red Devils are looking elsewhere.

Berge is one of many players that the Ineos and their new sports director, Dan Ashworth, are thinking about moving for. The club has been connected to Youssouf Fofana of Monaco and France, Joao Gomes of Wolves, and Sofyan Amrabat, who hasn’t returned to the club yet.

Sky Sports says that United and Burnley have had preliminary talks about Berge. It is said that the terms of a deal to bring Berge to Old Trafford are being “explored.” This week, news stories in other places said that the 26-year-old would cost around £30 million.

It is thought that Berge would like to move to Old Trafford. News from Sky Sports says the player wants to get back to the Premier League after Burnley was dropped.

They have also heard more about their efforts to sign Fofana, whose deal in France ends in 12 months. Dharmesh Sheth’s story says that talks with Monaco about a possible deal are still open.

It was said that Monaco would keep their £30.1 million (€35 million) price tag on the 25-year-old player until the end of the season. AC Milan was the favourite to sign the France international, but they are said to have dropped their interest after not being able to hammer out a deal.
