Jamie Carragher’s Savage ‘115 Charges’ Post After Being Blocked From Man City vs Dortmund

Former Liverpool and England centre-back Jamie Carragher, who has turned his hand to being one of football’s most divisive pundits in his post-playing career, has responded to a report that exclusively revealed that Manchester City turned down his desire to join the Borussia Dortmund fans in the away end by referring to the Premier League club’s current 115 charges.
Recently, as Dortmund traveled to Manchester in search of three points, Carragher wanted to revive his memorable bond with the Signal Iduna Park fans by cheering them on inside the Etihad Stadium. However, he only went as far as marching with the visiting contingent from the city centre to the stadium in east Manchester after the home side rejected his plan.
Carragher’s ‘115 Charges’ Comment After His Request Was Refused by the City

Referring to City’s 4-1 victory over Dortmund, Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan stated exclusively that Carragher intended to join the German fans in the away end, but the 47-year-old Liverpool star was prevented from doing so due to concerns that the move would be incendiary. The English team won courtesy to goals from Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, and Rayan Cherki.
According to Keegan’s story, Pep Guardiola-managed City turned down a request from CBS Sports. Although UEFA, the governing body of European football, and City declined to comment on the topic, it was believed that both quickly rejected Carragher’s idea.
UEFA’s perspective revolved around the fact that the pundit’s media credentials did not extend to his switching the press area for the stands. In addition, the club believed that having Carragher – who had previously played for Liverpool – in the away end would have been a bad decision and could have caused problems.
As shown below, Carragher totally embraced the Dortmund culture last May:

Furthermore, the notion of Carragher, widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in Premier League history, interviewing the home players after bouncing around the away end of the Etihad Stadium seems unappealing.
Keegan, who exclusively disclosed the news one day after City’s emphatic victory at home, came to X (previously Twitter), and Carragher was ready to comment, arguing that he got the news from City rather than the defender-turned-pundit himself. He also mentioned that his reporting on City’s 115 charges case had been’so sympathetic’.
“I was only trying to have a good time with the Dortmund fans, Mike, but it wasn’t allowed. Next time, message me and I’ll tell you all you need to know, rather than Simon from Manchester City telling you a narrative. Probably explains why you’re receptive to the 115 allegations.”
As previously recorded, City has been accused of 115 alleged financial regulatory violations between 2009, one year after their Sheikh Mansour-led takeover, and 2018. During that time, the club won the Premier League title three times: in 2011/12, 2013/14, and 2017/18.
While walking to the stadium with the Dortmund fans, Carragher was given a scarf dedicated to the Bundesliga team and even joined in with some of their club chants. He handed out beers as if they were going out of style, saying, “It’s been great. We had a fantastic walk from Manchester’s city core to the ground. They’re having fun, looking forward to the game, and little concerned about Erling Haaland.
“But they’ve got their own man up front in (Serhou) Guirassy who we think might be able to cause a problem or two,” the pleased Liverpudlian stated prior to adding, “They’re in full flight and hopefully, by the end of the game they’re going to really enjoy themselves and I might join them.”
