The transfer window for Liverpool is moving along at a rapid clip, as the new Premier League season is less than a month away.

Arne Slot, the new head coach, should prioritise signing a new center-back. The left-footer’s name continues coming up following his outstanding achievements for Italy at Euro 2024. His name is Riccardo Calafiori. It’s anticipated that he will depart Bologna this summer, but it’s yet unknown which team he will sign with. There are other teams interested in Calafiori than Liverpool.

Some media sources claim that Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich is also being considered as a possible future Liverpool player. There will undoubtedly be a frenzy of action behind the scenes as pre-season approaches.

Inspiration from Sadio Mane
Former Liverpool player Sadio Mane has been identified by new Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh as his “inspiration”.

Minteh, 19, signed a $37 million contract to go from Newcastle to Brighton.

Minteh is instructed to remain silent in a widely shared video till he hears his favourite player from the African Premier League.

When Mane’s name is called out, the hush is broken. Afterwards, he says, “He’s my inspiration.”

The message from Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah, the star attacker for Liverpool, posts a shirtless selfie, showing off his physical condition and readiness for preseason training. The Egyptian football player struggled to score goals towards the end of the last Premier League season.

Before departing to play for Egypt in the AFCON, Salah scored 13 goals in the league in the first half of the 2023–2024 season. But after he came back, Salah seemed to lose his momentum, and it was harder to accomplish goals.

Salah scored just three goals in the league during the last few months of the season (six goals overall), which led some to think that the 32-year-old’s career was in decline.

The Saudi Pro League was the subject of persistent rumours, which did not help Liverpool fans’ cause. But in front of the upcoming campaign, the forward posted a photo of himself on social media that shows him in excellent shape.

Salah also made a style debut, having shorn off his hair in the latter part of the previous campaign. In the photo, Salah shows off his toned and action-ready abs, complete with a six-pack.
