“I want to play football for this team on the first team. If the chance arises, I believe I should seize it since it has the potential to transform my professional path. I’m prepared; I’m just waiting for that opportunity.”

Tyrell Malacia is still recovering from an injury, but Luke Shaw, who started for England against Spain in the European Championship final, has been granted a long sabbatical.

Malacia last participated in a competitive match for the Netherlands in June of last year. A knee ailment that required two rounds of surgery kept him out of action for a considerable amount of time.

Amass has the potential to take advantage of the fact that the 24-year-old is anticipated to become available once more in two months, as the full-back from London plans to make the most of it.

Amass has already been compared to Shaw, who moved from the South to the North as a teenager, after just a single year at United. “It’s a fair analogy,” he stated.

Shaw won’t be fit enough to play 90 minutes at Wembley, and Malacia won’t be in the team for Saturday’s Community Shield matchup against City.
