Man United handed huge boost as Everton drop £70m demand for Jarrad Branthwaite

According to a report, Everton has reduced its asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite by £70 million, providing a significant advantage to Manchester United.
According to a source, Everton may now be open to accepting a much reduced offer compared to their original asking price. This would give Manchester United a significant edge in their efforts to get Jarrad Branthwaite.

The Red Devils made two unsuccessful attempts throughout the summer to acquire the services of the England defender. Their most lucrative offer, with additional incentives, was allegedly worth at around £50 million.

In a recent statement, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said that while Branthwaite is not actively pushing for a transfer to Old Trafford, the 21-year-old player is indeed eager for the move. Manchester United is hopeful that Everton will reduce their asking price of £70 million.

“Currently, they do not incline to engage in negotiations or accept amounts of £45 million, £50 million, or £55 million. Therefore, it is necessary to propose significantly different figures to successfully finalize the deal,” he stated.

Manchester United is optimistic that this position will be altered; they are aware that, in this particular situation, the player is eager to make the transfer, but it ultimately hinges on the club’s decision.

“Negotiating with Everton is challenging, so currently the situation between the two clubs is at a standstill.”

According to a source, Branthwaite from Everton is not planning to sign a new contract until Manchester United can match the salary of £160,000 a week that they are offering.

That might partially explain why Everton, as reported by The Sun, would now be ‘interested’ in a £50m deal.

According to a club source, Manchester United is willing to go to great lengths to sign the player, as they have already made significant efforts. The source feels that the player, along with Leny Yoro, may form a strong central defensive partnership that United can utilize as a foundation for their squad.

Yoro, who transferred to the club from Lille for a fee of £52m this summer, experienced a disappointing delay in making his Premier League debut due to an injury sustained during pre-season. This ailment is expected to sideline him from the squad for a period of three months.

Considering this, United are actively searching the market for additional center-back choices.

Bayern Munich allegedly turned down a bid for Matthijs de Ligt, but a transfer specialist is confident that both de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will be transferring to Old Trafford this month.

United is considering acquiring a free transfer player to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s defensive choices. According to sources in Spain, there has been ‘formal contact’ with Hermoso, who just left Atletico Madrid, to explore this possibility.
