According to reports, Manchester United has set a price of £25m for Antony, with the intention of using the funds generated from his sale to make a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Antony is among the players that United is prepared to offload during the upcoming summer transfer window. According to a prior report mentioned by The Peoples Person, Manchester United is open to allowing him to depart on loan, as long as another club agrees to pay his salary.

According to his agent, Fabrizio Romano, Antony has no intention of leaving Old Trafford and is completely focused on regaining his position in Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup.

The Red Devils paid a substantial amount of £85 million (€100 million) to acquire Antony’s services from Ajax. It would be a significant understatement to suggest that he has not met the expectations set by his high price. The Brazilian has only scored five goals and provided three assists in 54 games in the Premier League.

During the previous term, his consistent underwhelming performances caused anger among fans, leading to his replacement in the team by Alejandro Garnacho. As the campaign progressed, Amad Diallo even surpassed him in the pecking order.

Recently, it was reported that Besiktas is interested in the 24-year-old player. However, he is not too excited about the idea of moving to the Super Lig.

Antony has been associated with other clubs like as Lille and his childhood team Sao Paulo.

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester United is actively seeking to sell the winger. However, they are aware that it will be challenging to find a buyer for him.

According to insider information obtained by TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent Fraser (Fletcher) Gillan, it has been disclosed that Manchester United is willing to consider selling Antony, who has shown to be a significant financial loss thus far.

TEAMtalk has obtained unique information indicating that Manchester United now acknowledges that they made a significant overpayment when they acquired Antony, and they now assess his actual value to be approximately £25 million.

“Manchester United is eager to determine if there is any demand for Antony in the market, but they encounter significant obstacles even if a club is willing to meet his lowered price.”

The individual, who is currently 24 years old, has a contractual agreement that extends until the year 2027, with the possibility of an additional year. This is a significant concern for the Red Devils, and they are hoping that he can improve if they decide not to sell him.

According to the news site, United are keen to utilise the funds generated from Antony’s departure to acquire Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah has been identified as a potential acquisition by the 20-time English champions as they aim to strengthen their offensive lineup.

Chalobah’s chances of securing a transfer in the upcoming weeks appear highly likely, as Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca excluded him from his pre-season preparations.

According to TEAMtalk, United’s sporting director Dan Ashworth and his colleagues have engaged in discussions with Chalobah’s representatives to investigate the potential of finalising a deal.
