Prior to the start of the new season, Paris Saint-Germain has expressed interest in acquiring Manchester City.

As the French champions make preparations to find a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, Manchester City is facing the possibility of losing a striker to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain’s record scorer left the club to join Real Madrid on a free transfer. As a result, the club is now faced with the challenge of rebuilding its assault. To this point, Joao Neves, a midfielder, has reached an agreement to leave Benfica, but a new marquee forward has not yet joined the club.

One of the players that has been mentioned as a possible choice for the Ligue 1 club is Victor Osimhen. In spite of this, it appears that Luis Enrique is focussing his attention on Manchester City, with the goal of achieving European dominance without the presence of the talismanic Mbappe.

According to a post made by journalist Santi Aouna on X (which was formerly known as Twitter), PSG is making a serious effort to acquire Julian Alvarez. It would appear that a contract has been extended to the Argentine, and preliminary conversations regarding a transfer have begun with City.

Currently, Alvarez is serving in Paris as part of his international duties. In spite of the fact that the attacker has indicated that he is concentrating his full concentration on the Olympic competition in which he is participating, it has been reported that he is looking for a fresh challenge and regular game time away from the Etihad Stadium.

As far as FourFourTwo is concerned, the interest shown by Paris Saint-Germain may be genuine. Alvarez would be a good fit for the kind of fierce play from the front that the French team does not have. Atletico Madrid was always going to have a problem with the price, as FFT pointed out a month ago; nevertheless, Paris Saint-Germain has a far easier time dealing with this issue.
