It is not expected that Leny Yoro will be available again until January. According to the Sun, Manchester United are planning to make a new offer for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite.

The French player hurt himself in a pre-season game against Arsenal in the US, just ten days after signing for Manchester United from Lille for £52.2 million. He will need surgery and won’t be able to play again until next year.

Because of this, Man United is looking to add players to their defence and will try again to get Branthwaite after Everton turned down their first offer of £35 million plus £8 million in add-ons.

The Old Trafford club may be willing to pay that much to get the Englishman, but Everton is holding out for £70 million for the 22-year-old. A deal could be made for around £50 million.

When it comes to defence, they are interested in Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich, but it has been hard to get the Bundesliga club to agree to sell them.

Both teams are still in talks, but Manchester United could come back for Branthwaite since they’ve been interested in him for a while.

The young player and Yoro, who is 18 years old, could become a strong central defensive pair for Manchester United. They will hope Everton is willing to make a deal for them.

The former England youth international is open to the move because he has become one of the best centre backs in the country so quickly.

Gareth Southgate, who used to lead England, put together a provisional team for the European Championship that included Branthwaite, but he did not make the final cut.

But everyone can see how talented and promising he is, and the Red Devils may now wish they had signed him instead of Yoro after his accident.
