During the summer transfer window, Arsenal only added one player to the first team, but more activity is probably on the horizon.

For Riccardo Calafiori, the Gunners have a verbal agreement in place with Bologna. They are presently awaiting the Serie A team to finalise financial terms with Basel about the sell-on price.

The team is reportedly interested in signing Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz, according to Turkish publication Sabah. To discuss an agreement, the player’s representative will meet with Arsenal authorities.

Although the Super Lig champions would want to have Yilmaz in their lineup, if more than €30 million (£25.3 million) is offered for the winger, they may be persuaded to sell.

The 24-year-old is an extremely adaptable athlete. During the previous season, he was primarily a right winger for Galatasaray, but he also saw time at left back, right back, and left flank.

Yilmaz is also capable of playing as the fictitious number nine. With four starts up front, the Turkey international was a constant for his nation in the European Championship.

The Gunners’ interest in him may have something to do with his extreme adaptability. Yilmaz might not be a lock to start, but he might provide something different from the bench of substitutes.

In addition to his seven goals and twelve assists for his team last season, he also made an impression with other crucial qualities. He had 1.8 take-ons and an amazing 6.5 victories per game in duels.

In the Super League, Yilmaz averaged 1.7 tackles and 3.9 recoveries. It remains to be seen if Arsenal meets with his representative and moves forward with a formal bid.

The forward, who makes just £13,000 a week, is considered “very special” by Gaziantep boss Selcuk Inan. It would be easy to agree on personal terms with him.
