After Arsenal’s preseason victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night, Mikel Arteta was silent when asked about Eddie Nketiah’s future.

Over the previous two seasons, Nketiah has been a consistent starter for Mikel Arteta; however, the majority of his games have come off the bench, and the team may decide to let him go in the coming weeks.

For the upcoming campaign, Mikel Arteta’s attacking lineup will include Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. There is a lot of speculation that the team will look to sign another attacker by the end of the transfer window.

Due to this, there has been ongoing conjecture in the media that Marseille has extended an offer to the striker to move to Ligue 1 this summer. According to recent reports on Foot Mercato, Nketiah has been sold on Marseille’s project, and the player and club are having a good time negotiating a contract.

When questioned about the striker Arteta’s future and a possible deal, he remained silent. He came off the bench versus Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium. Regarding Nketiah, Arteta remarked, “We can’t talk about things like that.” He participated in a few games today.

We like him a lot since he is a player who provides us so much. Additionally, there is nothing to talk about right now.

Reporter Iomie Stanley came out amid all the rumours and speculation, telling the striker to seize the chance to move to Marseille and become the team’s top striker. He told icfootballnews: “I’ve watched him at Arsenal over the seasons and he is a very good striker that can score goals.”

“He has good skill, is quick around the box, and releases shoots swiftly. I believe he will score goals in the French League, possibly quite a few, which will propel him to the next level of the game.

“Nketiah, who has been with Arsenal for several seasons, must be upset that he is not a regular starter. He would have expected to be considered one of the team’s top options.

It would be a wise idea for him to leave Arsenal if he truly wants to do so since he would become the team’s leader and play a lot more than he does at the Emirates.

“If there was real interest, staying in the Premier League would be a good option, but there isn’t, which is why he should move to Marseille.”
