With the entire Arsenal team training ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Bayern Munich, Mikel Arteta has received a huge boost.

Coach Sam Wilson of Strength and Conditioning led the team in some warm-up exercises with Jurrien Timber coming out first. Prior to the session, the only significant injury doubt was the Dutch international, who is still recovering from an ACL injury he suffered on the first day of the Premier League season in August.

Nevertheless, Timber was able to participate in the first phase of the team’s training at the Sobha Realty Center. Though spirits appeared high, the Gunners participated in some warm-up exercises.

Bukayo Saka, who is still dealing with a muscle issue, participated in training as well. The 3-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday was started by the England international, who also opened the score.

It was around the hour mark that he was taken off, perhaps unusually. The Spaniard did, however, affirm during his post-match press conference that this was unrelated to an injury, saying, “Yeah, he’s fine.”

Goalkeepers James Hillson and Karl Hein, ranked third and fourth respectively, participated in the training as well. Still, the two were released a little after Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya.
