Paul Scholes wants Man United to spend £40 million to get Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee better players this summer.
Even though Manchester United already spent a lot of money on players this summer, Red Devils great Paul Scholes wants the team to make another purchase to help Rasmus Hojlund out.

Paul Scholes has asked Manchester United to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford. He has already signed Joshua Zirkzee. The Red Devils have been busy in the striker trade market in recent years.

Rasmus Hojlund had a good first season after being bought from Atalanta for £72 million a year before.

United got Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer, which made their front line even stronger. Scholes still doesn’t think that will be enough for the next campaign, though.

“You have got to look at the forward players,” he said on The Overlap Fan Debate. Could Hojlund help us score 25 goals this year? It would amaze and surprise me.

“Take a look at Ivan Toney if he could come to us.” Could he score 25 goals? I believe he could.

“I think he’s great, but he was brought to the U.S. when he was 19 or 21 years old, and Man United wants him to be their No. 9 player.” It’s a famous part for players who score 20, 25, or 30 goals and win league titles.

“A big club should use him as a second, third, or fourth striker.” They added Joshua Zirkzee, but I’ll be honest: I’ve never seen him play. I believe that goals will be a trouble. When I think about Zirkzee, I don’t think he has been a great goal maker anywhere.

It will be harder for him to score goals in the Premier League because he has scored 48 goals in 143 games, which is almost 40 goals in 150 games.

The best time for Toney to move would probably be soon. He only has one year left on his deal with Brentford.
