It has been reported that a Manchester United midfielder has reached an agreement to depart the club this summer, a decision that could potentially impact the remainder of the Premier League heavyweights’ transfer window.

Manchester United is currently anticipating the departure of certain players.
Although it was announced at the beginning of the summer that nearly the entirety of Erik ten Hag’s squad is available for purchase at a reasonable price, there have been relatively few departures from Old Trafford thus far this summer.

Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane, both of whom were French, departed Manchester on free transfers after their contracts expired. Additionally, Omari Forson left as a free agent.

In addition, Mason Greenwood has been transferred to French club Marseille for a substantial sum of £22 million, while the skilled defender Willy Kambwala has made a move to Villarreal for £8 million.

Excluded player in the midfield Donny van de Beek has officially left Old Trafford after a disappointing period after his £35m transfer from Ajax. He has joined Girona for a little price.

Manchester United has utilised the opportunity to acquire two new players, Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, as replacements for Varane and Martial, at a total cost of £86m. However, they are currently awaiting the departure of other players.

There is a strong belief that a deal for Noussair Mazraoui is almost finalised, but it is contingent upon the departure of right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka before it can be officially confirmed. Additionally, the potential arrival of a new centre-back will likely depend on the future of Victor Lindelof.

Similarly, in the midfield, it is expected that agreements will be finalised whenever one of Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay, or Casemiro is transferred, as all three players have been rumoured to be leaving. Currently, a single individual has reached an agreement to go.

Midfielder has consented to depart from Manchester United.
Academy graduate McTominay, who is said to have reached an agreement on personal terms, is expected to join Galatasaray this summer. Fulham, a Premier League team, and the Turkish heavyweights are both competing to recruit the Scottish midfielder.

McTominay is the top priority for Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey, which were relayed by Sport Witness. He has even expressed his willingness to join the Turkish team.

In fact, he has approved a contract valued at €5.5 million annually (£4.5 million per year, or £86,500 per week), which represents a substantial increase from the £60,000 per week contract he currently holds at Old Trafford.

However, that may have been the easiest part, as reports earlier in the week indicated that Galatasaray had rejected an initial bid of €15m (£12.7m) for the Scottish international. Dan Ashworth and his team were reportedly seeking a price closer to £25m in order to allow him to depart this summer.

Manchester United has been linked with Manuel Ugarte of PSG in recent weeks, and if that price is met and McTominay departs, it could enable the club to pursue one of their midfield targets.
