This is where my kids call home, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Attending Wembley leaves a lasting impression on the fans. Being able to spend that time with them was truly incredible.

“Even though this season was challenging, I have a lot of optimism for the future. The new owners have a fantastic strategy and a well-defined plan. When we play our final home game of the season at Old Trafford, I’ll see you there.

“It’s going to be a very emotional day for me, for sure.”

The 31-year-old was a member of the team that won the Carabao Cup the previous season and has made 93 appearances for the team since joining for £42.5 million from Real Madrid.
