Ruben Amorim must axe five Man Utd stars from Ipswich draw with strongest XI clear

COMMENT: Following Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich, Ruben Amorim will already know his best Manchester United squad.

Following indications of his preferred style of play in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, it is evident which Manchester United team Ruben Amorim has the best. Although United struggled to a draw at Portman Road, Amorim’s enormous burden of realizing his 3-4-3 vision is acknowledged.

The Portuguese tactician acknowledged that he gave players with more training days priority since his arrival for the journey to East Anglia due to the significant shift in directives from Erik ten Hag’s administration.

His ideal lineup, however, should include five changes given the return of some recent injury absences from the matchday squad and the impending return of others.

Evans, Jonny
Since his unexpected comeback last summer, Jonny Evans hasn’t made many mistakes, but the 36-year-old center defender isn’t a good fit for Amorim’s approach.

He will leave the game when Luke Shaw is ready to start or Lisandro Martinez is healthy again after struggling as the left-center-back against Ipswich.

Mazraoui, Noussair
This also holds true for Noussair Mazraoui. He was one of the summer’s top acquisitions, and since moving for £13 million, he has continuously produced confident performances at attacking midfield, left back, and right back.

However, both wing-back spots appear to be occupied, and Leny Yoro is anticipated to emerge as Amorim’s first-choice right-center-back.

Dalot Diogo
The presence of his Portuguese compatriot will inspire Diogo Dalot, who was a pillar under Ten Hag. However, this season, United’s left-wing-back at Ipswich has fallen short.

When Shaw is ready to start on a regular basis, he might be preferred on the left, as Amad is already having an impact as Amorim’s inverted wing-back on the right.

Casemiro
Like Evans, the 32-year-old midfield duo at Portman Road is not suited to Amorim’s high-octane demands.

If Manuel Ugarte hadn’t arrived late from foreign service, he probably would have started before Casemiro. He might take the Brazilian’s place as early as Thursday evening.

Eriksen, Christian
At the end of the season, Christian Eriksen is probably going to leave United on a free transfer. The Dane just lacks the motor needed to play as a box-to-box midfielder for Amorim.

Kobbie Mainoo does, and after he finishes his path to recovery, the 19-year-old will return to his usual role.

The best Manchester United starting lineup under Ruben Amorim includes Onana, Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez, Amad, Ugarte, Mainoo, Shaw, Fernandes, Garnacho, and Rashford.
