The 2025–26 Premier League table has already been projected by a supercomputer as the next season draws near. Everyone thought Manchester City would win the English league again last season, but Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, ended up winning their 20th English league title handily and regaining their position as the most successful team in the nation.

Since Arsenal has already accomplished that feat three times in a row, there were no bonus points awarded to those who predicted that they would finish second, and Pep Guardiola’s team’s final-season performance nearly earned them third place. The predictions do, however, indicate that this trio will at least fight harder than they did during the hair-tearing campaign of the previous season. Despite having 12 more points than Southampton did the previous season, Leeds United is predicted to finish last. Although Sunderland is predicted to finish in 19th place, they are still 10 points ahead of Ipswich Town. Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth in the bottom half barely escape relegation.

With an eighth-place finish the previous season, Brighton & Hove Albion secured European football under manager Fabian Hurzeler. The supercomputer has them in 11th place, just outside the top half, so it is not expected to be as successful this time. The same is true for Wolverhampton Wanderers, led by Vitor Pereira, who do not have Matheus Cunha.

Although losing the lucky Brazilian will be bad, they should improve on their 16th-place performance from the previous season. The Black Country team is expected to finish in 12th place this season, one spot ahead of Brentford. The capital club enters the new season without Thomas Frank in charge, but the Bees have suffered a minor setback as a result of the fixture list’s release.

A predicted 14th-place finish under Marco Silva is also unlikely to excite Fulham supporters, who were ranked as among of the Premier League’s most deceived by a recent research. This might go backwards and possibly emphasise the necessity to keep top players.

It is anticipated that Crystal Palace would also regress as the English top flight becomes more challenging. The Europa League finalists from the previous season, Manchester United and Tottenham, are included.

It’s doubtful that Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will stay in his position if the Red Devils have a season like 2025–2026. Amorim is already under a lot of stress. However, the Supercomputer predicts that they will place just outside of the top four. They should gain 34 more points than they did the previous season, which would be a significant improvement.

The Supercomputer predicts that Aston Villa, one of two teams making a strong push for the “new big six” status, would finish sixth in the Champions League rather than restore their spot. That puts them one spot ahead of Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur, the defending Europa League champions going into the next campaign.

A supercomputer that forecasted a near-perfect replica of this season’s top three has not backed Liverpool to win the Premier League again. As previously stated, Slot’s team won the championship at their own speed the last time out, but Manchester City is expected to win the title again in what may be Pep Guardiola’s final game.
