As speculation links England captain Thomas Tuchel to Manchester United, Harry Kane is allegedly “disappointed” that Tuchel is leaving Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker signed an £82 million deal to leave childhood club Tottenham for Bayern last summer, with Tuchel playing a key role in completing the deal.

Although Tuchel’s departure from Bayern at the end of the season was announced, Kane was reportedly eager to work with the former manager of Chelsea and PSG. However, their time together is almost over.

The German powerhouses are on the verge of losing all of their trophies for the first time since 2012, which led to the decision.

With just nine games remaining in the Bundesliga, they are 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen and were eliminated from the German Cup by a team from the third division.

Their only realistic chance to win trophies is still in the Champions League, where they are currently in the quarterfinals but were nearly eliminated by Lazio.

Kane, who would have preferred to have continued working under Tuchel, is reportedly “disappointed” by his impending departure, according to German outlet Kicker via talkSPORT. Tuchel’s actions have caused division among the players at the club.

Despite accepting the circumstances, the captain of the Three Lions does not want to spoil the atmosphere in the Munich locker room.

Fans of United, though, might find this news interesting as there had been some speculative reports linking the 30-year-old to Old Trafford.

Last summer, Erik ten Hag was adamant about signing Kane, and if Bayern Munich decided to sell the player, it’s rumored that Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner of United, would be keen to bid for him.

Given that Kane has made 34 appearances for Bayern so far, scoring an incredible 36 goals and dishing out 11 assists, that doesn’t seem very likely at this point.

The striker is one of those players who is regarded as “untouchable,” even though the team plans a significant roster overhaul this summer.

Most importantly, though, is that Tuchel is eager to get back to the Premier League and would be open to taking over at Old Trafford in the event that Ten Hag were to leave.

For the time being, Bayern will aim to get closer to Leverkusen when they visit Darmstadt, who are currently bottom of the Bundesliga, on Saturday.
