Emile Smith Rowe is poised to go from Arsenal and join Fulham, a transfer that has elicited discontent among several Gunners fans.

Smith Rowe holds a significant position in the hearts of Arsenal fans, and a considerable number of them expressed their reluctance for him to depart throughout the summer.

Adrian Clarke, in an interview on the Handbrake Off Podcast, has been talking about Smith Rowe’s upcoming departure from the north London area.

Clarke acknowledges the reason of Smith Rowe’s departure, attributing it to his limited playing time. However, intriguingly, the commentator expressed a preference for Fabio Vieira to be sold during this summer

.

Fabio Vieira should have departed before to Emile Smith. Rowe Clarke discussed the pair of offensive midfielders.

“Mikel and Edu have a financial stake in Fabio Vieira, don’t they?” One of them had to be eliminated this year, as their total playing time did not adequately showcase their potential. I would have loved to retain Emile, but occasionally it is necessary to release someone and allow them to pursue a prosperous career, with the hope that he would achieve success.

The selling of Emile Smith Rowe seemed more logical.
Although it may be painful for Arsenal fans, the decision to move Emile Smith Rowe this summer was indeed logical.

Acquiring a player for £34m, despite their limited playing time in the last two years, is a highly advantageous transaction. Additionally, as the player is an academy graduate, the entire amount can be recorded as pure profit in the financial records.

One could argue that Smith Rowe is a more skilled player than Vieira, but the guy who was bought for £35m still has a lot of untapped potential. Mikel Arteta, the manager, is reported to be a great admirer of the midfielder.

The potential repercussions of selling Smith Rowe are still to be determined, but from a business standpoint, this transaction is highly logical.
