During any of the 86400 seconds in a 24-hour day, somewhere in the world, someone is doing anything linked to the beautiful game, whether it’s scoring a last-minute winner in a high-profile match, sharing their expert opinion on social media, or simply booting a ball against a wall with their friends.

It is therefore impossible for any human being to keep up with everything that is going on in the game, and it is often those small yet most intriguing moments, such as a fan’s alternative viewpoint of a penalty save, a three-second yet incredibly telling interaction between two arch-rivals, or a thread on X explaining why N’Golo Kante is the nicest man in professional sport, that make football so great.

22nd February: David Raya displays extraordinary speed against West Ham
The Spanish custodian has left everyone in his wake.

Arsenal suffered a dismal home defeat against West Ham United, as Mikel Arteta’s side failed to put pressure on league leaders Liverpool. The Gunners put up a boring performance with few attacking possibilities, but the visitors deserved the three points.

With no goals to shout for and Myles Lewis-Skelly’s second red card of the season, fans had little to look forward to. The only thing they can take away from the Emirates is a fresh understanding of how quick David Raya is.

The custodian went up for an attacking corner in the final seconds but was forced to rush back as West Ham cleared their lines. James Ward-Prowse, who is not known for his speed, appeared to be the first to the ball but gave up a large lead to Raya. Based on this data, he has the potential to challenge some of Arsenal’s wide players.

On February 22nd, Cristiano Ronaldo lost his cool when Jhon Duran received a red card.

Football fans on social media have condemned Cristiano Ronaldo for his response when Al-Nassr colleague Jhon Duran was sent off in the 92nd minute on Friday. The great Portuguese forward was captured slapping the ball away while it was in the middle circle. He then reacted angrily with the match officials.

One fan posted on X (Twitter): “40 years of age!”, while another said: “How is that not a red for him?” Another said, “Absolute man child,” while a fourth wondered, “How’s he got away with that?” Al-Nassr lost 3-2 to Al-Ettifaq, despite Ronaldo’s efforts.

20th February: A reporter asks Manchester City, “What happened?” and the responses go viral.
One fan: ‘We’re f****** w***, that’s what happened, pal.’

Manchester City fans departed in droves in the 62nd minute, with the score 2-0 in favour of Real Madrid – and their comments to “What happened inside?” have gone viral. There were a handful who flatly disregarded the reporter, yet some gave moving responses.

Angered by the reporter’s perceived arrogance, one asked, “You truly know the score, don’t you? Why are you rubbing that in my face?”

Another fan was a little colder, calmer and more collected, providing a measured response. He stated: “We’re not having a terrific season, right? That is it. Real Madrid has a fantastic front three, and our defence is fragile. So that’s what you’d anticipate.

A third supporter was far more aggressive in his response, blasting Pep Guardiola for his decisions. They even went so far as to claim that the Catalan native is no longer capable of leading the four-time winners to victory.

We are f****** w***, that is what occurred. We are utterly s***; is this a recording? I’ll tell you something, Pep Guardiola: he needs to f*** off!

“We didn’t show up, and the formation was improper. He’s prioritised Liverpool over this!” one commented, pointing out that Guardiola rested Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland in preparation for their Premier League clash with Liverpool at the weekend.
