TRANSFER NEW: Man United transfer news live Manuel Ugarte ‘swap deal’ plus Jadon Sancho and Ivan Toney latest

The atmosphere surrounding Manchester United has significantly increased prior to the Premier League season opening against Fulham on Friday night, with the official announcement of the double acquisition of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
De Ligt is reunited with Erik ten Hag, his former coach at the Ajax academy, in a transfer deal worth £42.6 million. Mazraoui replaces Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who moved to West Ham, for a fee of only £17 million.
United have acquired a total of four players during the summer transfer window, including the arrivals of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro in July. With only a week left in the summer transfer window, it is known that sporting director Dan Ashworth’s first objective is to acquire a new player for the No.6 position.
Manuel Ugarte has been the subject of interest throughout the transfer window, along with other players like Youssouf Fofana and Sander Berge, who are also rumoured to be of interest to the club. It is anticipated that further players may need to leave in order to make room for a new acquisition in Ten Hag’s squad.
Mason Greenwood, Wan-Bissaka, Willy Kambwala, and Donny van de Beek have been permanently sold, while Raphael Varane, Antony Martial, and Brandon Williams have all departed upon the expiration of their contracts.
Following the announcement of De Ligt and Mazraoui as United players on Tuesday night, there is still a significant amount of work to be completed behind-the-scenes. There is a possibility that at least nine players from the first team could go this summer, but the level of interest in them has decreased with time.
The primary objective will be to generate revenue through the sale of players in order to mitigate any potential risks related to the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations (PSR). According to reports in Italy, Napoli have initiated discussions with Manchester United on a possible agreement for the transfer of Scott McTominay. This development comes after Napoli’s director, Giovanni Manna, arrived in England.
If Ugarte were to arrive, the Scotland international would be pushed even down in the hierarchy at Old Trafford. United has made it clear that they will only approve a permanent deal, while Napoli is believed to desire a loan agreement.
Regarding expenses, Jadon Sancho, Victor Lindelof, and Facundo Pellistri are all individuals that are being considered. PSG is currently in discussions on a possible loan agreement with an obligation to make Sancho’s move permanent. Meanwhile, MEN Sport has reliable information that the club is aggressively seeking to sell Lindelof. Bologna, a Serie A team, is interested in acquiring Pellistri.
If four exits were to occur, it would highly likely pave the way for United to acquire another player, with Ugarte being the most apparent and suitable option. Although personal terms are not considered problematic, the two clubs have not yet reached an agreement on a deal.
