Chelsea transfer news: teenage goalkeeper Eddie Beach is likely to become the latest Blues ace on loan.

According to football.london’s sources, the custodian Eddie Beach, who is a member of the Chelsea academy, is planning to join Crawley Town on loan. Over the course of this week, the young custodian will follow in the footsteps of Alfie Gilchrist, Andrey Santos, and Aaron Anselmino as they depart from the club.

Beach was a member of Chelsea’s initial preseason group of 29 players that flew to the United States a month ago, but he did not participate in any of the games that Enzo Maresca coached. Over the course of the second part of the previous season, he was on loan at Gateshead, where he appeared in only five performances.

During the previous season, the twenty-year-old player sustained an injury shortly after completing his move abroad, which delayed his advancement. As a result, he was only able to play one game in the National League after being sidelined for a month. The English-born gloveman has had a remarkable climb, which led to his promotion to League One following his rise.

Beach was selected as one of the four goalkeepers that Maresca brought to the United States of America in order to prepare them for the 2024–2025 season. In addition to the two senior choices, Robert Sanchez and Marcus Bettinelli, he was joined by another academy product, Lucas Bergstom, who did end up playing on the pitch.

During the trip, the team made the decision to sign Filip Jorgsenen, who had previously played for Villarreal. It left a plethora of choices in goal, including Kepa Arrizabalag, who was eliminated from the competition.

Additionally, Chelsea has already seen their Under-18 goalkeeper Luke Campbell move on loan to pursue prospects with the first team at Hendon FC, a non-league club. Beach is also among those who have left. Due to the fact that Beach has previously performed at Chelsmford, he possesses experience covering all levels of the English pyramid.

The Blues, who have a bloated group under their new head coach, have experienced a string of temporary departures, and this is the most recent installment in that line. While Santos was playing for Beach Stateside, he decided to leave in order to play for BlueCo-owned RC Strasbourg once more. Meanwhile, Gilchrist finished his own loan to Sheffield United in the English Football League.

Before being returned to Boca Juniors, it was confirmed that Chelsea had purchased Anselmino on a long-term contract. However, he was then transferred back to Boca Juniors.
