In a new loan agreement that will last for the entire season, Xavi Simons, a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain, has returned to RB Leipzig.

There have been rumours that Arsenal and Manchester City are among the clubs that have expressed interest in signing the Dutchman this summer.

However, Bundesliga club Leipzig has secured another contract for Simons, who scored ten goals during his initial loan stint in Germany during the previous season. Simons then went on to excel when playing for the Netherlands at the Euro 2024 tournament.

According to what he said on the club website, “Everything I hoped for from my move to Leipzig has already come true.” “I was able to develop both as a player and as a person, and I was able to find a great team from the very beginning. RB Leipzig simply provides the ideal environment for something like that,” I said.

Marcel Schafer, the director of Leipzig, made the following statement: “We are very happy that he has identified RB Leipzig as the best option for his further development and that he believes in our ambitious goals despite intense recruitment by other top clubs both in the United States and abroad.”

After Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain has been a significant player in the transfer market. Simons’ move will continue to create room for Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen, who is considered to be a major target for the club.

Joao Neves, who was formerly with Benfica, has already been acquired by the Ligue 1 winners. This could result in the departure of Manuel Ugarte and Carlos Soler, who had been linked with Manchester United and Real Sociedad, respectively.

According to reports, La Real consider Soler a potential replacement for Mikel Merino as negotiations on a transfer to Arsenal continue to progress.

The Gunners are interested in acquiring a new attacker and midfielder before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. In addition, they are in the process of discussing a transfer fee for Merino, who already has a contract that will expire in San Sebastian the following year.
