Should the South American advocate a move, Arsenal is aiming a bold swoop to acquire Julian Alvarez from Manchester City.

Since going to the Emirates, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has already brought in two players from Manchester City, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus. Both of these players are former Manchester City players who have joined Arsenal.

According to Mirror, the Gunners are on’red alert’ for Julian Alvarez’s condition, and they are looking into the possibility of making a third signing from the Etihad Stadium. This comes after Pep Guardiola stated that he will not impede any dissatisfied players who wish to leave the club.

The remark of the manager is a response to the Argentine forward’s desire to play more frequently, even if it meant that he would have to seek out a more promising opportunity in order to achieve this goal.

According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester City will try to receive at least £80 million in order to initiate any kind of discussion over Alvarez. This amount may prove to be too high for the north Londoners to accommodate.

Given that they are ready to put their faith in Gabriel Jesus going into the 2024–2025 season, there is no pressing need for Arsenal to acquire a striker. However, it would be irresponsible of Arsenal to not make an effort to take advantage of a situation that is favourable to them, particularly if the player in question is as talented as Julian Alvarez currently is.

It is possible that Alvarez will quit England entirely.
During the summer, Arsenal has made a significant investment in the acquisition of David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori. The club is getting closer and closer to spending close to one hundred million pounds this year, and it is beginning to look like midfielder Mikel Merino will also be joining the team.

In addition to the fact that Alvarez’s transfer would be an extremely unlikely occurrence for them, the player might also leave the Premier League completely on account of the fact that he has already achieved every possible success in England.

It is possible that Arsenal might be offered a price that is significantly more than Alvarez’s projected valuation of £80 million. This is because Manchester City would want a premium for his transfer to any Premier League club.

Arteta will be optimistic that he will be able to call on the Brazilian international player in the forthcoming season because he performed an excellent job of managing his forward-line in Jesus’ absence during the previous season while he was not available.

There are a number of European powers who are interested in Alvarez’s talents, so it will be intriguing to see where he plays next. However, for the Premier League as a whole, the departure of a quality player like the South American would be a costly loss.
