TRANSFER UPDATE: Chelsea set for second enquiry to sign Manchester City player this window

According to a story that was published by a journalist this morning, Chelsea is planning to make a second attempt to sign a player from Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

It would appear that Chelsea is making an effort to acquire one or two additional attackers before the end of the transfer window, which is scheduled to take place at the end of this month. Additionally, the club is continuing to be associated with a variety of different names.
Oscar Bobb, a winger for Manchester City, has been mentioned, but he appears to be more concerned with keeping his mouth shut than anything else. It is ironic considering he just scored against Chelsea in a preseason friendly on Saturday night, which Chelsea ultimately beat by a score of 4-2; yet, his name has been mentioned.

According to the information provided by our very own writer Simon Phillips, who posted a piece on his own Substack website today, Chelsea has already conducted an inquiry for Bobb a couple of weeks ago, and they are currently making preparations to do a second inquiry for the 21-year-old player.

According to what Phillips claimed, “Bobb is well-known at Chelsea, and it is one of the directors who was watching on that night, Joe Shields, who has put him forward as a winger target for Chelsea this summer.” This information was revealed on this website some weeks ago before Phillips wrote his statement.

With an inquiry for Bobb, Chelsea recently reached out to both City and Bobb’s team, but they have not yet responded to that inquiry. Chelsea has not yet returned to that inquiry. Despite the fact that none of the responses were a definitive “no,” Chelsea believed that it would be a difficult deal to do based on the responses, and Bobb’s ideal situation would be for him to remain at City and succeed there.

‘This doesn’t mean it’s impossible though, as SPTC sources have heard that Chelsea are going to attempt again for Bobb in the latter part of this window and try and seduce him with a move to Chelsea with first team promises much like they did with Cole Palmer last summer.’
