Two Man Utd stars slammed in Arsenal defeat as Wayne Rooney calls out ‘lazy’ player

After Arsenal defeated Manchester United 1-0 at home, Wayne Rooney was not at all pleased.

Legends of Manchester United Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane were furious after the Red Devils’ 1-0 loss to Arsenal at home, and they were especially let down by two of Erik ten Hag’s players. United finished the Premier League this season no higher than sixth after Leandro Trossard scored the game’s lone goal.

When Kai Havertz raced through to set up the finish, Rooney was perplexed by Casemiro’s lack of desire to get out and join the defensive line prior to Trossard’s goal, calling him “lazy” for not sprinting forward.

Keane also thought that Jonny Evans, the Brazilian’s center-back partner, could have performed much better because Havertz was able to easily get past the seasoned defender and find Trossard in the six-yard area.

“He’s (Casemiro) obviously shown that he’s a midfield player and he’s not a natural centre-back,” Rooney stated to Sky Sports. “Players in midfield or at center back must be prepared to press forward with the team if United wishes to play this style of football.

You will suffer consequences if you take advantage of others. Perhaps he is too gullible to allow (Andre) Onana to pass the ball to him, but once the ball moves forward, you have to push out and see it; otherwise, it’s a lazy play.

“He is a sloth. His team members who have pushed out are apprehended. Even when defending the area, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is blind to the players surrounding him, allowing Trossard to enter and score with ease.”

Keane believed Evans shared some of the blame for not stopping the goal. “It sums up United, they’re disjointed,” he stated. It must be faith in what they are attempting to accomplish. Once the pass is made to the goalkeeper, Onana should be able to move up the pitch, so I don’t think Casemiro needed to give him an option. When he finally clears it, it’s a sprint of ten to fifteen yards.

“Jonny’s actions are insufficient; we need to stop crossing the street and show people affection.” However, they signed Jonny, who is leaving Leicester City, and we’re talking about hiring, putting an end to crosses, and carrying out their duties.

“To return to the original topic, if you’re struggling as a football player, you should attempt to perform the fundamentals correctly, and they’re not. I was watching something that I just couldn’t believe. It’s merely of poor quality.”
