Upades Celtic winger Marco Tilio has Finally agreed Deal with medical booked DONE DEAL
Marco Tilio’s two-year Celtic ‘career’ appears to be finished, with an agreement reached to join Rapid Vienna.
Mark Lawwell found and brought the winger to Celtic in July 2023, although he only played 28 minutes of competitive action and two substitute appearances before returning to Melbourne City for two loan periods.
Tilio arrived at Celtic with an injury and signed a five-year contract, but, like Yang Hyun-jun and Luis Palma, he never appeared to match Jota’s quality.
It was widely rumored last month that Tilio was on his way to Rapid Vienna, but that was put on hold when the winger was included in the Celtic team that competed in the Como Cup, beginning against Al Ahly.
The 23-year-old was left out of Celtic’s UEFA Champions League Play Off squad against Kairat Almaty, which came as no surprise.
Celtic fans will be hopeful that his imminent move to Rapid Vienna signals the addition of a winger to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
