After the January transfer window closes, the Dream Chelsea team will have Victor Osimhen finished, Mudryk gone, and Diomande signed.

Right now, everything at Stamford Bridge appears to be going quite well. The atmosphere was already too strong for even a draw against Nottingham Forest at home before to the international break.

After the season’s first seven games, Chelsea is comfortably positioned in fourth place in the Premier League standings. Four victories, two draws, one loss, sixteen goals scored, and eight goals given up. Not bad, isn’t it?

Enzo Maresca, the new head coach, has apparently adapted to life with the Blues like a duck to water. Despite its complexity, his ideology has apparently been applied to the players he inherited with relative ease. Even while Chelsea is far from perfect, for once, things in SW6 appear to be improving.

Some players have not played nearly as many minutes as they would have liked at this point in the new season because of the squad’s exceptional results. Last month, when asked how he keeps all of his players satisfied, Maresca said, “I be honest.”

“I tell them all the truth. We cannot play with seven or eight attacking players because there is no defensive balance, as I have stated several times since the beginning.

A Maresca setup basically consists of four attacking positions, and the Italian is unable to utilize all of his many choices at once. The players vying for those positions are Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, and Marc Guiu.

Guiu, the last person on the list, impressed during the club’s summer preseason tour of the United States, but he has seldom played this season. The 18-year-old striker, who was signed by Barcelona for as cheap as £5 million, has only played five games this season, totaling just 168 minutes.

In terms of starts, Guiu only appeared in the two legs of the August UEFA Conference League playoff round matchup against Servette. When the January transfer market opens, it could be better to search for a loan move for the Spaniard, who has yet to score for the Blues despite playing hardly any minutes.

Chelsea may try to gain him some priceless experience playing English football and get him used to the physicality needed by loaning him to a Championship team. The striker wants to establish himself at Stamford Bridge in the future, but given Nkunku and Jackson’s current form, it doesn’t appear like he will be able to do so this season. The club will not be interested in a permanent move for Guiu.

At Stamford Bridge, Ben Chilwell is obviously not a part of Maresca’s plans. The 27-year-old defender was instructed to sign with another team during the summer transfer window, but he was never able to leave Chelsea, and he has only played once since, in the team’s 5-0 victory against Barrow last month.

Chilwell has not yet been included to the squad list for any match day, despite being listed in the 25-man Premier League squad for the rest of the season. Chilwell, who plans to make a move in the January transfer window, is behind Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga, both of whom have had excellent starts at left-back this season.

Similarly, Carney Chukwuemeka has not yet been included in a Premier League team this season. The 20-year-old’s only appearance this season, like Chilwell’s, was during the crushing of Barrow in September. Maresca has been rather candid regarding the midfield player’s future, implying that it could not be at Stamford Bridge.

“I will say exactly the same thing I have said many times: Carney is a very good player, but for the amount of players we have, we decided at the beginning of the season it is probably better to leave and go somewhere, prove himself and play 30 or 35 games rather than being here and playing less games,” Maresca said after Chelsea’s 4-2 victory over Brighton last month, in which Chukwuemeka was once again left out of the squad.

Regretfully, that did not occur. He plays for us. He wasn’t participating today, although he did have a few minutes the other day. Hopefully, we can extend his time.

Maresca will be somewhat happy with his current team in terms of incomings, but a lot can change in football before the January transfer market begins. Nonetheless, the Italian will be eager for the team to finish some outgoings this month.
