Frenkie de Jong, the midfielder for Barcelona, and Van Dijk, the captain of the Netherlands, have both been given permission to return to their respective clubs after starting in the 4-0 victory against Hungary that took place in Amsterdam on Saturday.

Following his departure from the Netherlands squad, Virgil van Dijk will be returning to Liverpool in advance of a vital moment for the team that is now leading the Premier League.

Following their respective starts in the Dutch team’s 4-0 victory against Hungary in Amsterdam on Saturday, both Frenkie de Jong, the midfielder for Barcelona, and Van Dijk, the captain of the Netherlands, have been granted permission to return to their respective clubs. Van Dijk played the complete 90 minutes of the match.

The Dutch Football Association has stated that neither player is injured, and that they have made the choice to rest them for the match against Bosnia that will take place on Tuesday in Zenica. This comes after the Oranje clinched their qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Nations League.

A statement made by Ronald Koeman, the manager of the team, stated that it would be beneficial for Frenkie and Virgil to leave the training camp at this time. Medical considerations were taken into account while making that choice, with the athletes’ best interests being the primary consideration.

Van Dijk will return to Merseyside and have some time off before Liverpool’s intriguing back-to-back matches at Anfield against Real Madrid and Manchester City. These matches will be followed by crucial visits to Newcastle and Everton. Van Dijk will then go to Southampton, his previous club, for a Premier League match on Sunday.

After winning four of their last four matches, the Reds are currently in a position where they are five points ahead of the competition in both the Premier League and the Champions League standings. This is a key time for the Reds’ season.

Every single minute of the Premier League and Champions League campaigns that Liverpool has participated in this season has been played by the captain of the Reds. Arne Slot has only given him a break for the Carabao Cup victories that Liverpool has achieved against West Ham and Brighton.

After the victory over Hungary, Van Dijk made the following statement: “I want to do my thing, play my best game ever, and be important for the group every time I’m on and off the pitch.” Every every day, I want to give that effort my whole and undivided attention.

The way I see it, we are still expanding. Throughout the course of a match, there are times when everything is going exceptionally well, particularly in possession. With that being said, there are also times throughout the transition where we can improve our defensive performance by thinking a little bit more defensively and playing in a more compact manner.

Due to the fact that you are accustomed to different things at your club, it is simply no easy task. After that, it will take some time to become acclimated to this place. When all is said and done, the outcome is the most important thing. And a score of 4-0 in a game that is critical is just incredibly impressive.
