Harry Amass, a Manchester United defender, is purportedly a target for Aston Villa.

Last year, the 17-year-old transferred from Watford to Man United. He has appeared on 17 occasions for the club’s Under-18s and nine times for the Man United Under-23s in Premier League 2.

The first-team contingent that travelled to the United States for a pre-season tour over the summer included Amass, who has been on the bench for two of the club’s last three Premier League matches.

Nevertheless, the adolescent has yet to make his competitive debut for the 20-time English champions, despite the Red Devils’ continued struggles at left-back in the initial months of the campaign.

Amass is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2027. However, Villa are closely monitoring his situation, and Unai Emery’s team is contemplating making an offer next year, according to TEAMtalk.

Amass, an adolescent from Manchester United, was the subject of Villa’s interest.

The report asserts that the Champions League team has been a long-time admirer of Amass, and that the club actively pursued his registration in 2023. However, Man United ultimately emerged victorious.

Amass is highly regarded by Man United; however, the youngster’s chances of gaining a spot in the first team will be further complicated by the return of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia to fitness.

Villa are believed to be confident in their ability to capitalise on the situation and bring a new left-back to Villa Park, while the Red Devils are rumoured to be planning to acquire a new player next year.

Ruben Amorim’s appointment as the new head coach may prove advantageous for Amass, as the Portuguese coach is anticipated to implement a 3-4-3 formation. The adolescent possesses the ideal skill set for a wing-back position.

He informed Football Insider, “We are aware that Aston Villa is a club that is ambitious.” Villa Park’s recruitment staff is exceptional, and they are consistently striving for advancement under Unai Emery.

“It is not surprising that they are interested in Amass and have been monitoring the situation.” Amass will be considering whether his path to first-team football at Old Trafford could be obstructed.

“United is unlikely to pursue a sale of him unless they receive an exceptionally substantial offer from Villa.” They regard him as their long-term left-back option, and Ruben Amorim will likely be interested in evaluating him and potentially providing him with an opportunity. I would be extremely astonished if they were willing to sell him, as he is well-suited for the wing-back position.

Amass will be anticipating the opportunity to be included in Amorim’s squad for Man United’s Premier League match against Ipswich Town on November 24.
