Chelsea discover Europa Conference League opponents with Enzo Maresca’s side handed nightmare away trip and date with Irish minnows
Chelsea knows who their opponents are in the Europa Conference League league phase, and they have a terrible trip to Kazakhstan.
Chelsea and Astana tie on their away trip.
In the play-offs, Blues beat Servette to get in.
Chelsea is also going to play Shamrock Rovers.
The Europa Conference League draw is over, and Chelsea now knows who they will play in the league stages. A terrible trip to Kazakhstan to play Astana and a trip to Armenia to play Noah are in store for the Blues. They will also be hosting Shamrock Rovers from the Republic of Ireland at Stamford Bridge.
Gent (H), Heidenheim (A), Astana (A), Shamrock Rovers (H), Panathinaikos (A), and Noah (H) are all teams that Chelsea faces.
Servette beat Chelsea 2-1 in the second game of their play-off, which gave them a big scare as they tried to make it to the league stages. But because they won 2-0 in the first game, they still made it because of the overall score.
Together with Chelsea, Hearts, Larne, and The New Saints, all from Britain (Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales), have also heard their fates. TNS has to go to Fiorentina, which is not easy, and Larne’s big game is against Gent. In the league phase, Hearts will play Copenhagen and Heidenheim.
This weekend, Chelsea will play their next game, which is against Crystal Palace. The first game of the Conference League season will be on October 3.
