Breaking News: Ruben Amorim names who is to blame at Man Utd after Bournemouth defeat

After losing to Bournemouth 3-0 at home, Manchester United is now in 13th place in the Premier League for Christmas.

Following a heartbreaking 3-0 loss to high-flying Bournemouth at home, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim promised to address the team’s persistent set-piece and setback problems, saying, “It’s my responsibility.”

The Red Devils ended up in 13th place in the Premier League after the defeat, which was greeted by jeers at the final whistle and occurred just one week after an incredible derby victory over Manchester City.

The situation was heightened when a leak from the media room ceiling momentarily interrupted Amorim’s press conference.

Because Bournemouth replicated last season’s historic Old Trafford victory with the identical score, United will be in the bottom half of the table this Christmas for the first time since 1989.

Once again, set pieces proved to be United’s undoing. Dean Huijsen scored on a free kick in the first half, and Bournemouth won thanks to a penalty kick from Justin Kluivert and a swift goal from Antoine Semenyo.

A disgruntled Amorim remarked, “We are more anxious throughout the stadium when we don’t give up anything to the opposition and then one set-piece.”

“I sensed a lot of anxiousness from the very first minute. That’s somewhat disheartening, but it’s reasonable given the circumstances.

“After creating numerous scoring opportunities, it’s quite difficult when they score two goals against a team like Tottenham. Everyone in the stadium is in pain following the third goal, including the players and supporters.

As United prepares for their next game on Boxing Day against an upgraded Wolves team after their 3-0 success over Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester, head coach Amorim acknowledged that his club confronts a difficult time but insisted he is prepared for the assignment.

“It’s a tough moment, but we have to face it and prepare for the next game,” the Portuguese coach went on.

He accepted responsibility for United’s “tough moment” and went on to say, “It’s my job to train them. Naturally, we want to get better, and right now, everything is so much more difficult. When a team like Manchester United loses 3-0 at home, it’s extremely difficult for all involved.

Naturally, the supporters are extremely dissatisfied and weary of this situation. Even in the first play, you can sense tension in the crowd, and I get it, but we know what to do and we have to face it. Set-pieces need to be improved.

“I believe that we are not giving away as much as we usually do. We have stronger game management, we don’t give up many spaces, and we have excellent transition control while playing a team that steals the ball in our half and scores 60% of the goals.

“We succeeded in doing that, but in the set-pieces, we had one penalty and then had to temporarily ignore the situation and everything in order to hold the ball and avoid trying to score two goals at once.

“It’s a pretty difficult situation, and we need to know what the players are thinking when they lose 2-0, when they make a penalty, or when the box is under control.

“That is something we must and will handle. Everyone finds it quite difficult to lose these kinds of games.

Andoni Iraola, the head coach of Bournemouth, has downplayed the excitement around his team’s outstanding play, even though they moved up to fifth place in the league following a thrilling victory that left supporters dreaming of Europe. Iraola stated: “I believe that everything is extremely close right now (in the standings).”

“I appreciate the points. Although our 28 points won’t go away, they are insufficient for anything.

“We still need to accumulate a lot of points, so we’re going week by week, game by game, and now we’re concentrating a little bit on Fulham and Crystal Palace.

However, I don’t think it makes sense to pay much attention to the standings at this early stage. Since it’s not often that you get to see these stadiums, I believe they must be having a great time.

Since it’s challenging to get this kind of outcome as a player, it goes without saying that both they and we must have fun.

However, we are aware of how much it costs to defeat anyone in a single Premier League match.

“To win one Premier League game is very, very difficult, so we have to continue the same way otherwise the results will be much worse, for sure.”
