Mikel Arteta offers Bukayo Saka injury update amid fears of lengthy absence

As a result of an injury, Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka was forced to leave the game during the Gunners’ victory against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Manager Mikel Arteta has issued an update on the situation.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has revealed that Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for “many weeks” due to an injury that he sustained while playing against Crystal Palace.
At Selhurst Park, Saka was ejected from the game during the first half of the match. Although the Gunners were still able to win 5-1 without the England star, Arteta will have to get used to the idea of playing without the main player at a season of high activity.
Arteta told the media, “It’s not looking good, he’s going to be out for many weeks,” and he was disappointed. “I’m putting some ideas together,” he remarked in response to a question on how he was going to deal with the absence. At this point, I have a few, but I have not yet arrived.
“I want to speak with them as well, and I want to take it in a positive way,” the Spaniard continued. It indicates that we are going to be one of a kind. The period that we went through included Martin Odegaard, and the period that we went through with five or six defenders missing. With a constructive frame of mind, we are approaching it.
Raheem Sterling, who was on loan from Arsenal, was also absent for the match that took place at Selhurst Park on Saturday. After the victory, Arteta stated, “We lost Raheem yesterday, and we don’t know for how long.” The victory was a 5-1 victory.
It is not a good sign to lose two players in a span of twenty-four hours. Due to the fact that we are playing a large number of games and because of our schedule, it does not come as a surprise to me but unfortunately.
On the 27th of December, Arsenal will resume their regular season of competition as they welcome Ipswich Town to the Emirates Stadium. Following that, Arteta’s squad will begin the year 2025 with a pair of matches played away from home, against Brentford and Brighton.
During the current season, Arsenal has been dealing with a lot of injuries, including the lengthy layoff of its captain, Martin Odegaard of Denmark. When the Norwegian was serving in an international capacity in September, he sustained an ankle injury that forced him to miss two months of action.
Arteta’s team has been showing signs of improvement as of late. For the seven league matches that have passed since Odegaard’s return to play, they have not suffered a single loss. Additionally, they defeated Crystal Palace to advance to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
However, there have been further injuries that have occurred in the back. Ben White has been sidelined for the past six weeks and is still expected to spend more time on the sidelines, while Takehiro Tomiyasu has only managed to make one appearance so far this season.
Over the course of the early part of the season, White attempted to address a number of injury problems, which ultimately led to his decision to undergo surgery. In November, when Arteta confirmed the news, he speculated that the former Brighton player will be sidelined for a longer period of time than weeks.
“There have been plenty of different kinds of challenges. When asked about White, Arteta stated that “it has never been the same thing.” “There has been no progress made. It has reached a stage where we are required to provide protection for the player.
