(3-4-3) Van Nistelrooy, the interim manager of New Manchester United, lines up to face Brentford as INEOS

According to reports, Manchester United is considering Thomas Frank, the 50-year-old manager of Brentford, to succeed Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United is reportedly interested in Thomas Frank, according to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football. The Red Devils are considering cutting ties with Erik ten Hag in light of the season’s poor opening to 2024–25. Thus, the 50-year-old manager of Brentford has been a contender to take over at Old Trafford from the Dutch strategist.

Thomas Frank’s voyage
Since leading Brentford to the top division a few years ago, Thomas Frank has become one of the Premier League’s most underappreciated managers. The Bees have shown their doubters wrong by winning big against the English powerhouses each season and emerging as a consistent Premier League team.

The 50-year-old has assembled a strong squad that isn’t afraid to challenge the most formidable opponents. This trait has won the Danish strategist favor with a number of prestigious teams, particularly in the Premier League. Frank has reportedly been connected to a number of teams, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

According to the most recent information, Manchester United is still keeping an eye on Frank despite the mounting pressure on Erik ten Hag. Before the impending international break, the Red Devils are considering their options because the current manager is under pressure to produce results or risk losing his job.

Is a Manchester United move imminent?
Though Thomas Frank won’t be a glamorous addition to Old Trafford like previous managers, Manchester United’s interest in him is understandable. The skilled tactician from Denmark is capable of getting his teams to perform better than the sum of their individual parts.

Frank may therefore be Manchester United’s next great manager. The Premier League team is also considering Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate, so the Dane is not their only option. Concurrently, the report has denied rumors that Simone Inzaghi has received an offer from the Red Devils.

The boss of Inter Milan reportedly turned down Manchester United’s approach, according to recent sources. Frank will therefore be vying to take Erik ten Hag’s spot at Old Trafford, with Dan Ashworth ultimately having the last say.
